Winners Announced For Inaugural Collision Awards
The winners of the first Collision Awards have been announced. The awards, dedicated to honoring excellence in animation and motion design in all its forms, were organized by the group that also runs the long-running Telly Awards.
Awards were handed out across six main categories: Marketing & Communications, Film, TV, Commercials, Experiential, and Games & XR. Over 150 awards have been handed out – a full list of winners is here. The organization did not announce how many entries were received, but submission costs ranged from $125-275. Winners have to pay an additional cost to receive physical awards.
“I’m truly impressed with the caliber, quality and variety of work and entrants in our inaugural season,” said Randeep Katari, Collision Awards general manager. “We set out to cement the concept of animation as a medium across a breadth of media and disciplines, and I feel like we’re on our way to achieving it. From the biggest films in the world to localized campaigns, our winners exemplify that animation is truly a global medium, and I’m excited to see what the future of animation brings.”
Collision Awards winners will be celebrated with a screening and reception at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center at Lincoln Center in New York City next Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
Collision Award finalists were selected by the Collision Awards Founding Jury which included Joe Burrascano, Justin Cone, Sarah Cox, Marge Dean, Ronnie del Carmen, Patricia Claire, Maureen Fan, Holly Fraser, Ian Jones-Quartey, Jinko Gotoh, Jay Grandin, Julie Lockhart, Andrew Millstein, Mike Moloney, Gilles Monteil, Ramsey Naito, Phil Rynda, Charlie Sells, and Fred Volhuer.
